sitting in a car driving across the countryside – hand painted signs on the roadside with the strange word construction blu-men. BLU MEN? sad men? the image conjured up the word is flawed. the brain starts to spell. reading is a cultural technique.
in my jewellery i also add material, elements and colours to create a whole piece. there are no memorized images, i create them – by rejecting, re-arranging the material and the elements, until there is finally unity and i put them together. i combine the glass flowers, which a czech woman dug up in her garden, with enamel, a glass powder, reconstructed stone, porcelain and plastic. brooches which look like a flower bed, divided into sections. / 2011
